Welcome to your Student Exhibition for 2025 Application Space.
One $20 fee will cover you for either 1 or 2 pieces of art. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TYPE IN 2 in quantity box if you want to submit two pieces.
If you have applied for 2 pieces of art, we will let you know before too long if both pieces will fit in the exhibition. Make sure you have filled in the complete REGISTRATION FORM HERE
When you send your photos please change the file name to include your name and the name of your work. THANKS! (its makes it easier our end when printing out the labels for your work, and making sure we put the label on the right painting!)

PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW So you know how to apply for the exhibition!
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- You must be either an online or studio student of Heather’s (including past students)
- Potential Maximum Two artworks per entrant. Please note that we want everyone to have an equal opportunity to showcase their work and therefore it may not be possible to accept both entries due to space restrictions. We hope you understand. Selection of works is at the discretion of Kapi Art Space.
- The submission fee is a flat fee of $20 for potential maximum of 2 entries.
- Artwork must have your full name, title of the work, size in cm (height x width), medium and price, NFS (or not for sale) clearly marked on a label affixed to the back of the painting. NB. If selling see pricing calculation information in the next point.
- Kapi will take 20% commission on all sales +10% GST on the commission. (This equates to 22% so think of the price you want for your work and add 22% to it to get the price which should be on the label on the back of your work - this is the price you should enter in the area below)
- Artworks must have “D” rings and wire and for smaller paintings a wire securely fixed to the back of the painting. NOTE: (The usual rule is 10cm down from the top, however it if is a heavy painting this may need to be adjusted. Please test this before you submit your work as will not be able to make any adjustments at the time of hanging and if in doubt, chat with Heather)
- Please include up to 50 words about your painting and your experience creating it (below)
- Please sign your artwork
- Please include a clear digital image of your work (attach file below)
- All works entered may be photographed for promotion and records of Kapi Art Space. Please let us know if you would prefer us not to use your work promotion.
- Artists are responsible for delivery of artwork and removal of unsold paintings at the end of the exhibition. *Bentleigh class connect with Heather
- Kapi Art Space will not be responsible for any damage to artwork.
PAYMENT
If finance for the submission fee is not easy, please don't hesitate to contact us, it is more important to us that you put your work in and have the opportunity for your work to be seen, than paying the fee. (This fee is to cover costs of what we would normally receive through artists renting the space)

- Collection of unsold art: Thursday 29 May 2025 between 11am and 5pm.
